Longest Basketball Throw - Guinness World Record!!!

THE Sports News Channel on YouTube: http://bit.ly/SportsNewsTelevision Several record attempts were made worldwide to mark the ninth annual Guinness World Records Day. These included most people dressed as penguins, most consecutive handsprings and the world's longest ever basketball shot. Hold the back page...it's the ninth annual Guinness World Records Day. All that's wierd and wacky getting its very own day to celebrate. The UK saw a new record attempt for "Most Hula Hoops Spun Simultaneously" at London's Shaftesbury Theatre. Would circus performer Marawa the Amazing and her team succeed. Of course they did, spinning 264 hoops, to earn a place in the famous record book. London also the venue for a successful attempt at breaking the record for the "Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Penguins". No, really, that's a genuine record, and it was all in aid of charity. The Japanese were not to be outdone. Kenichi Ito breaking his own record for the 100-metres on all-fours. Finishing in 16.87 seconds and shaving more than half a second off his 2012 run . The 30-year-old, who has been training for a decade, eventually hopes racing on four limbs will become an official track and field event. And so to Germany, where Joe Alexander attempted to break the record for walking across the most upright bottles. But he wasn't content with just one record attempt in a day, also trying for the most darts caught in one hand in one minute. Double credit. But what about the United States. Tim Wade breaking the world record for the highest number of consecutive handsprings by a male in Dallas, Texas. He managed 46, two higher than the previous record of 44. And to end with, an incredible basketball shot. Thunder Law of the Harlem Globetrotters breaking the record for the longest ever successful hoop shot. Throwing the ball a massive 109 foot 9 inches. Much respect due. Breaking sports news: http://www.youtube.com/sntv Follow sntv on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/sntv sntv: http://www.sntv.com
