I have re-measured everything 3 times in Sony Vegas Pro 11, and the final time is indeed: 1 hour, 22 minutes, 22 seconds and 18 frames. 1 / 30 * 18 = 600 milliseconds. I really don't care rounding it up to 1:22:23 or anything. There's official Speedruns like this for Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii and even MKSC. Let me give it a shot here, and try to make this an official SpeedDemosArchives approved run / category. (I have no freaking idea how to do that though, anyone can help?) I don't even see this as a 'World record' myself until SDA approves it, but the word has a nice ring to it, so I'm keeping that until someone has proof of a faster time. If this is beaten, or never going to be accepted as an actual "Speedrun", because of lame reasons such as the trouble with counting of frames, or the unavailability of long Nintendo 3DS games speedruns or unclear "completion" or "run end" moment of the game, then I will turn this into a "How to play all 32 tracks like Gogoku7" video. Proposed rules that were followed throughout this run: - Time is measured starting the first frame of input, ends on the final frame of input before the credits play for the second time. (Rule could be altered due to hardships of counting 3DS videos frames) - All 32 tracks / all 8 Cups must be completed once in Single Player, Grand Prix Mode. (No forced order though, the one I did would be most preferred) - Any CC can be played on. (150CC recommended, but could potentially become a category) - Any Item can be used. - Any Kart combination can be used. - Street Pass Miis participating in Cups are allowed, they play with the Rubber band AI, just like any other CPU. - Single Segmented, so it must be done in one session. - You have to / don't have to finish First every time. (This is not up to me, but I'd prefer always finishing First as a rule) - You may not abuse any available respawn glitches, including on Wuhu Loop, Music Park, Maka Wuhu and Retro Bowser's Castle 1(GBA). - You may not abuse any available glitched shortcuts, including Rosalina's Ice World, Neo Bowser City, Retro Daisy Cruiser (GCN) and Retro Maple Treeway (Wii). - May be performed on an actual Mario Kart 7 cartridge or downloaded version from the Nintendo eShop, but not through any pirated copy. - First time viewing the credits can be skipped as soon as the player can, and the second time should not contribute to the final time anymore. When it does, this is the player's own fault, and the unskipable few seconds of the credits may not be removed from the final time. - A modded 3DS that allows direct capturing of your 3DS screens may not be used, and should be a category of it's own. (Proposed by the Guinness World Records website, and I agree to it because players with a 3DS capture card have the advantage of not having extreme strain or awkward hands positioning while recording, which you have when recording with a camera.) - When recording with a camera, all screens must be clearly visible. Run dedicated to former Mario Kart Wii Player's Page Champion Thomas van Deerse, currently holding Mario Kart Wii's 32 tracks Single Segment completion World record, and dedicated to Ray Parsons for being a sexy Canadian, two World records destroying beast. Comment on this run: F*ck this game, f*ck this category, f*ck this run, f*ck Worldwide races, f*ck VR. I spent 3 hours holding my 3DS awkwardly, and my hands cramped up, and it still hurt, a few days later. I'm going back to Super Mario 64 DS Any% speedrun World record attempts starting next week, like back in 2008.
