Martial arts master attempts katana world record - Japan Tour



This week’s installment of our new weekly video series Meet the Record Breakers – Japan Tour features multiple record-breaking martial arts expert Isao Machii, who attempts to set a new record for Most martial arts sword cuts in one minute (rush straw). Full story: http://bit.ly/GWR-Isao He attempts the challenge under the watchful eye of Guinness World Records adjudicator Kaoru Ishikawa in a park in Toyonaka, Osaka, Japan. The rules for this title state that the straw shafts must be a minimum of 90 cm in length and clearly divided into four sections of 15 cm.   18. Well done adding those ridiculous "catchiing" sounds when he unsheats and resheats the katana. You know that every Samurai would consider this a flaw? Oh and btw. metal scratching on wood does not make "catchiing"...
  19. Remember the awkward scene with the Japanese director in "Lost in translation"? Now go to 2:07, he starts with Miyamoto Musashi ga... then try to follow the subs and relate it to what he is saying and get the same awkward feeling...
