4. Megalodon  according to science channels was only 45 feet now that is based on teeth and a few fossils that exist in a sharks back.  No one can say for certain if that was the maximum size for the shark, that is not three times the size of the titantic.

There is actually no good reason a megalodon could not exist, since fish are around which existed in the fossil record at the same time or earlier.  However it would have to have a very different life style then the one scientists have made up for it.  Up to a little less than two hundred years ago the oceans held large populations of whales, if full grown megalodons ventured near the surface whaling ships trailing huge amounts of blood and dragging dead whales in the water would have gone done, a lot.  Therefore the only possibility is that if they exist as the grow in size for some reason, they must move to ever deeper waters,  What prey could there be that would justify such behavior?  White sharks eath fish when young then learn to hunt seals once their size reaches a certain point but scientist are discovering that females and an occasional large male will take off for the deep ocean and stay there for months.  What is there, no one knows?  I certainly hope someone sponsers an expedition to thoses depths.
