TIP: Baby zombies can still get through a 1x1 hole so if you're doing this with a zombie-spawner, add a single carpet where they land after their fall so that the baby zombies can't (technically) "fit" through the hole and you'll remain safe!
DON'T bother setting up a pressure plate activated dispenser to automatically shoot arrows at them, it doesn't yield you XP!! (I found out the hard way)

For those who need xp for good enchantments. Go to the nether on peaceful and mine as many nether quartz as yo can. I went from level 1 to level 30 three times like this. Also for those who want a ceartain enchantment. Save game before you enchant. If you get a sucky enchantment then exit game without saving and come back to your world. Since you saved game before enchanting you will spawn back at your house before you enchanted and reapeat process until you got what enchantment you wanted. I hope I helped you guys out and explained this good.

I tried this. VERY slow yield. Honestly, unless you have access to the end, you guys are much better off breeding and harvesting a large pack of animals. Make an auto farm to easily obtain the breeding items.
