Lol. $250K will generate approx. $7.5k per year.....not meant as a slam but that comment illustrates nicely the view many Americans have towards retirement and is one the reasons the social security crisis is so devastating. Many Americans are simply unprepared.
    Watch the HGTV show where folks win the lottery and then buy a home. Last night they won $1M and were looking at $750K homes. Silly people....they'll be destitute in a year from taxes and maintenance.
