The straws used for the attempt must be commercially available and must have a minimumlength of 200 mm (7.87 in) and diameter of 4 mm (0.16 in). 2. The straws must be placed one at a time. 3. The participant can have a maximum of two assistants to insert the straws in the hair. 4. There is no time limit to this record. 5. Only straws that are inserted in the hair can be included in the final count. 6. No adhesives can be used during the attempt, e.g. hairspray or gel, on either the hair or straws. 7. Neither wigs nor hair extensions can be used for the record attempt. 8. Once the last straw has been inserted and upon the participant's signal that the attempt is over, all straws must stay in the hair for a minimum of 10 seconds in order to be counted towards the total. Any straw that falls out before the 10 seconds are over cannot be counted towards the total. An experienced time keeper must time the 10 seconds. 9. Two independent witnesses must count and verify the total number during the attempt and in writing. The two independent witnesses must be present during the entire attempt.
