N Scale layout video update no. 10

It's been a long time since my last N Scale layout video update. so here it is, a full loop of the mainline filmed from different angles. requested by John Zajdler. plus a little bit of bonus footage showing some of the unfinished scenery on the inside of the layout. Dec 2015 also marks the 10th Anniversary of the start of rebuilding of this former Clinchfield layout. I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (https://www.youtube.com/editor)

  1. that is an awesome layout! I admire the scenery greatly.
  2. A lot of hard work nice why not put a civil war reactment on the layout somewhere how many ft of track r there. K
  3. May I ask the size of the entire layout?
  4. Looks like the old Clinchfield plan from Model Railroader Magazine of the late 1970s. Awesome job and well done.
  5. This is the reason I love N scale. And this is a great example of what N in an 'average' HO layout space can accomplish.
  6. Very beautiful.
  7. AWESOME!!!!! Keep up the good work.
  8. (from Canada)  A very great layout, and very impressive layout.
  9. What can I say about your layout that has not be said by others. It's Beautiful. I enjoyed watching your video and will be waiting for more of them. Thanks for posting.
  10. Very nice layout. As soon as I saw your control panel I knew that it was based on the Clinchfield layout. Many years ago I purchased a layout based on the Clinchfield, it was only the bench work and roadbed. I still even have the old Clinchfield book
  11. The Layout looks good Dave. Great scenery.
  12. Those are awesome looking trees. Are they homemade or pre-made store bought?
  13. What are you using as your DCC system ? Is the layout divided into block ? I recently built a NanoX-S88 DCC system and 2 16 zone block detection circuits. I used a dremel to cut the rails in the yard area to create blocks for detection. I've been playing around with the 30 day trial version of TrainController and made the Clinchfield topographic maps. Eventually I'd like to see some trains run automatically from a schedule. I have turnout route control using my MiniDCC project or the DCC_Gen project. I'll be adding a few Digitrax SMBK signal masts and Team Digital's SHD2 decoders.
  14. That's great. Loved it. I'll be watching it over and over. Nice to see those never seen before area's. Also I like how you showed a couple angles of the same area, you didn't rush, so that's appreciated. I look forward to seeing the train go up into the double helix and power plant when your done. I also like under construction videos because you can't see those area's once it's completed. Thanks again for the early Christmas present.
  15. Loved every second of this video. So happy to finally see something other than just the loop.
