12. .Born in 1972 into a poor part of Kent England, too young to get into Punk rock etc my 1980s musical years were mostly Rock/Funk - LOVED Prince for example BUT then Public Enemy and NWA stepped on the scene and it was 'dam!!!' ..all that loudness and swear words it felt like MY Punk !! Black issues, politics, Police brutality, places, gang life, ghetto culutre.. things I never heard of before. Feel I owe these bands Public Enemy, NWA, BDP etc a lot for teaching me about life beyond my own colour and struggles.
