New Roller Coaster Drops The Mic On Multiple World Records

The latest roller coaster at Cedar Point theme park in Sandusky, Ohio is called Valravn. And with such an imposing name, the coaster has a stat sheet to match. The coaster opens to the public in 2016. Get out the record books, here comes Valravn. The newest roller coaster at Cedar Point theme park in Sandusky, Ohio is beating its metallic chest about the number of world records—10 in total—it plans to claim.  Valravn is currently under construction and opens in 2016. According to a press release, "Valravn is the regal king of birds, swooping down to conquer all other dive coasters on the planet."  Standing at 223 feet, it will be the tallest dive coaster in the world. Barreling up to 75 miles per hour, it will also be the world's fastest.  And at 3,415 feet in length, it will be the longest dive coaster on the planet as well.  Adding Valravn to the stable of rides also contributes to a few records for Cedar Point itself—including the most rides and the most roller coaster track at a single theme park.  That is not too bad for the record books.
