  5. The music corporations control the sound nowadays. When a song is a hit they try to reproduce it over and over and over. In those days, there was more opportunity for creative people.
  6. Love this music, I was a teenager when these songs were around and enjoyed every one of them, and I still do.
  7. 1 min in....My daddy says "No nigger noise" Hear that boy!
  8. Took my 6 year old to what was called a "50's Sock Hop", I was SO excited to dance with her to music like this. Got there, parents everywhere sitting down along the walls...first song that was playing when we got there was this "Watch Me Whip Watch Me Nay Nay" bullshit. Music is dead, all the crap on the radio now is dogcrap noise. I should have been born much earlier.
  9. iko iko is my mom and is fave <3
  10. I remember they used to play these songs on wogl fm 98.1 during the day.

  12. Love the 50's and 60's I am only 73 years young.
  13. This music makes me cry, because music nowadays
    is total shit...
  14. Hey, The 60's music is what I grew up on. However theirs been some great music since then. I love the Pentatonix group. they sing a Capella and sometimes with a violin. If you like the 60s music you will like this group. Give them a try. I also like there Christmas LP. There sound started about 2010 I think. They kind of remind me of Classical Gas of the 60s!
  15. Those were the days
  16. well the 50s had problems ill admit. But today's problem seem to be a bit more, i know that where i grew up you could leave your keys in the car and the doors to your home unlocked, and when you returned everything would still be there. just saying
  17. I grew up with 2 brother's who taught me the love for really great music
