Queen at Live Aid - 20 Minutes That Changed Music

"Queen opening to massive cheers with "Bohemian Rhapsody", and the antics of lead singer Freddie Mercury who got the entire Wembley crowd clapping in unison to "Radio Ga Ga" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" before singing along, word-for-word, to "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions". The band's performance, also including "Hammer to Fall", led to Queen's slot being voted in a recent poll (by fans and musicians alike) as the 'Greatest Live Gig Ever'." "Queen's iconic performance at Live Aid in July 1985 has been named the world's greatest rock gig in an industry poll."

  1. FRED TRANSCEND LIFE ITSELF.YOU'LL NEVER SEE THE LIKES OF HIM IN A MILLION YEARS.
  2. My then 13 old son played drums to Somebody to Love in 2013 at a middle school talent show and got such an ovation from the crowd - they literally went crazy because everyone else chose contemporary artists who simply don't measure up. My wife and I drew and painted a Freddy Mercury 20 X 30 at this concert sor my son which he has hanging in his room. He is older now and loves Queen just as much if not more. He is writing and singing songs due to the late great FM. Thank you Queen for being one of the most influential yet underrecognized bands of all time. If they are not one of the top 5 bands of all time, I don't know music.

  12. In my opinion, Mercury might as well have a new nickname called "The King Of Classic Rock" or in this case, "The QUEEN Of Classic Rock".

Freddy was like hurricane, Hi entered to my skin, and I have him under my skin until today.Freddy, you have one big fan in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that is me.He is absolutely the most charismatic singer and person I've ever seen.
