R.I.P NHL Hockey Fighting - Compilation of Best Fights from the Last Decade

What has become to NHL sucks so bad. Bullshit calls, referees stop fights way too early. Most of the enforcers are free agents or in the AHL. Stupid visor rule. Stupid helmet rule. NHL is turning to be a pussy league. This is compilation of best fights from the last decade. 2003-04 to 2013-14. ENJOY !

3. If you were not an annoying and arrogant french canadian with a mass amount of misinformation maybe these comments from non NHL watchers would be more unbiased. I am all for fighting in hockey but you babbling about the decline in stats and bitching does not help anyone understand why it should stay in the game. People need to learn the history of the NHL and the role fighting and intimidation has played in it for a hundred god damned years. There has always been fighting in hockey and there always will be, but they are down 50% and enforcers and tough guys are getting AHL shifted and phased out of the NHL altogether like you have stated. It's all due to the advancement in science when it comes to concussions and the CTE illness that multiple enforcers who have died suffered from. I personally think it should remain in the game and fans and third party observers need to butt out and realize these players know the inherit risk to their health when they engage in a bare knuckle brawl. And with todays medical knowledge about concussions , anyone dropping the gloves knows they are one slip or punch away from having the back of their head crack off the ice and be the first " Don Sanderson " in the NHL. ( Don't see Goon 2 though, RIP. )

I think this season, more than the recent ones, has really seen the game drop down to a pathetic level. I have followed the NHL (no team bias) literally every day, religiously, since 2001, and I officially find myself watching basketball now instead of the Cup Finals! There is literally zero passion by these players, nor any sense for proper hockey instincts or culture. It's sickening. Saddest of all, this is permanent. The NHL will never return to the way it should be. From here on out, soft players, no big hits, no fights, definitely no line brawls. And the argument that skill has replaced the fighting is absurd in my opinion. There are no electrifying offensive players really anymore. They've left, alongside the enforcers. The game is completely monotonic...you can't tell the difference between a first and a fourth line. It's 60 minutes of completely predictable, homogeneous skating without big hits or fights.

16. Hockey is a tough enough game. Most people couldn't even get through half a game without giving up. There is no need for smashing someone's cheekbones in just "for the title" as they used to: that destroyed enough lives already. If you want to see that you can go to a ufc fight, leave hockey being the art that it is.

20. While I certainly think that fighting should definitely be a bigger part of hockey, your idea that visors and helmets are a bad idea makes no sense in today's NHL. The game is faster and harder than it has ever been. Helmets are needed in today's game, as well as visors. Saving your face is important.
