2. Actually their saliva natually carries a weak and nonthreatening anticoagulant. They get the lethal bacteria they use to kill in the wild from eating carrion. Captive raised Komodo means it won't kill with just a bite. That said, they are plenty capable of being dangerous when they reach adulthood even without the bacteria due to their tremendous size and bite strength.

5. Thats cool, its a shame Surabaya zoo is a really bad zoo in terms of animal cruelty and it should be shut down or I hope it improves drastically.

17. So are Lions, Tigers, Bears, in captivity. But they can still turn nasty at anytime.
18. People still think all dragons are crazy monsters? Jeeze, don't you know the ones raised in captivity lack the bacterial bite of the wild ones, and are even known to build up friendly relations with their caretakers. Seriously, monitor lizards are more mammal like in their thought processes then most other reptiles.(minus the lack of care for their young.)
