RV Living - Tour of our Sandpiper 5th Wheel w/ Bunkhouse

We are Full-time RV Living. Join us as we take a tour of the first RV we called home, our Sandpiper 5th wheel. We've now moved into a motorhome (Here's the video tour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zi-cR3fmF8A), but we really hated to let this 5th wheel go! This is a 2013 Forest River Sandpiper 376BHOK. Here's some pros and cons we learned after owning it: PROS -Enormous living space. Feels like a two bedroom apartment with 9ft ceilings. -Giant party couch that faces a tv and fireplace -Fireplace :) -Open living room area with option of tables in front of party couch -Washer/Dryer hookup -King Bed -Sleeps 10 -Half bath in bunk room -Large Shower -Outdoor kitchen -Huge windows in living room area to let in a lot of light CONS -It's big. Almost 43ft long. -No residential fridge -No automatic leveling jacks -Not going to have the build quality of higher end full-time 5th wheels like Excel, Redwood, Horizons, or Mobile Suites, but still great quality for its price-point. 2. Just found this. LQQK how young Hensley is.
  3. nice minimal kitchen and lounge area
  4. From a fifth wheel to a class to a Avon Trailor. Wow lots of work gang. Blessed by You.
  5. Hello. I really enjoy your videos. My husband and I (along with our 4 & 10 year old) are planning on doing RVing semi full-time. We want to start with the entire summer. We are currently considering a Sandpiper 365 (41.7ft). I went to the Forest River forum and all I saw was complaints. Was it just the size or did you all have actual manufacturing issues with the RV? We are trying to decide between the Sandpiper and Jayco Eagle. Do you have any suggestions on a 5th wheel with a bunkhouse?
  6. OMG that is practically a regular HOUSE size
  7. That thing is huge!
  8. That is an awesome 5th wheel!
  9. Hi. Your videos are informative. what pickup truck brand did you use? Did you use a 3500? to tow the sandpiper 5th wheel?
  10. Holy you guys are living I a much nicer RV than I a, looking for. Good for you
  11. Awesome!
  12. how much did you pay for the 5th wheel and was it brand new or used? what's better?
  13. Why did you sell your 5th wheel
  14. Your fifth wheel was gorgeous....how long was it? We are rv'ers too, although we have been taking a 3 year break. We have always had 5th wheels but now that we are older, in our mid 60's we are looking at getting a good, used Class A or C....less work setting up! We plan to drive to Alaska from CA summer of 2017. I have just subscribed to you guys and enjoy your vlogs very much.
  15. What did you do with your fifth wheel?
  16. That motorhome is bigger then most uk 2 bed houses.
  17. It's a nice 5th wheel, but I understand your reasons for going with the motorhome instead.
  18. Wow I didn't even know you could get one that was so big/long! Thanks for the tour. Awesome space for sure, but I definitely think your motorhome suits you guys better. I am curious if towing a 5th wheel got you better gas mileage over driving the motorhome & pulling your vehicle or was it similar?
  19. Another question. Is there quite a bit of noise in a motorhome when traveling down the road (creaks, Pops, and general banging of stuff in drawers) ?. Of course when u have a fifth wheel you never have that. Lol Thanks Douglas
