  1. This is funny!
    Add More! Add More!
This is almost like the Red Green Show. Just missing a bit of Duct Tape.

The best stuff i have used is spray on truck bed liner. clean the area fully. Down to the original material and use Isopropyl Alcohol to get rid of the oils, not build it up, tape off the area and use two thin coats. Has lasted 4 years so far and hasn't leaked, budged or shrunk. never will. Its made to stick and be tough. Especially the rubberized stuff.
  2. At 280 lbs# hard as heck for me to get on top of my Storm. With my rheumatoid arthritis I've tried to get up there scared as hell.Trying to find some responsible skinny kid to go up there and do the work that I want to do.That's the plan thanks for your video.I'll be 60 this summer I suffer from rheumatoid I sure love my Motorcoach.
  3. what sealant gun using to put that sealant
  4. the is dude is using way to much
  5. oh my ,what a cowboy
  6. to everyone complaining about the overuse of sealant, relax. it's self leveling. there's no way to control where it ends up. that's what makes it so easy to use. as long as there is sufficient coverage, it does the rest of the work. yeah, don't "try" to make areas where water might pool and you'll be good
  7. That is not how to do it. You caulk in a manner to prevent water entrapment. Not create it. Water will pool and either find a way in, or when it freezes damage the caulk and create its own way in.
  8. Thanks for the informative video. Is it ever necessary to remove the old sealant, as opposed to applying the new stuff over it as you do in the video?
  9. The Skylight Domes are great to have, but as they get older, They get pounded by the rays of the sun, They turn yellow or get foggy looking, then they get real weak, and when hit by hail, They break. I have the dome on my fifth wheel now, but will be replacing it in the future after it starts to go bad. I'll be replacing it a flat panel of plexiglass. No more worrying about the hail storms... Has anyone but me ever thought about this idea ? By the way, Great video guys, We all learn a great deal from others that are willing to take the time to make, and share their videos...... Thanks to Everyone, and Happy RV'ing
  10. Nice bead
  11. KInda heavy application, especially at the end of the video (IMO)
  12. Iron Man with Dio singing!
  13. First of all - I would clean the entire area take the roof vents OFF and clean them then re-seed them - as was probably done at the factory!!!! Putting gobs and gobs of sealant on a specific location - can't be a good thing - or they would have done it at the factory!!!!!!!! I'd also make sure that side to side - and front to back was all one piece or it was melted together to keep the water out! The more pieces of roof you have - the more leaks you are going to have!!!!!!!
  14. The best sealant is 3M 5200 marine. If its good enough for boats/ships pounding on the ocean in all temperatures I'm sure it will stand up to anything on the road. But if you like having leaks and separating/deteriorating caulking, use the stuff most of the RV dealers and suppliers use, got to keep them in buiness
  15. where would I buy the sealant? ty for the rv info
  16. My girlfriend and I just purchased a '78 Ford RV and were thinking about using some sealant on the roof just for security. There are no particular spots that leak, but we wanted to provide added protection. Any recommendations on type or brand of sealant? Money is a factor. Thanks.
  17. I just put Dicor tape all over my fiver and have not had any problems at all. stuff last forever.
  18. Can I use this stuff along the sides of the rubber roof?
  19. At first I thought you were going over kill on the sealant.  Didn't realize it self levelled after a few days.  Thanks a lot for posting a video on how to seal your RV.
