Samsung's 8K Glasses-Free 3D TV Blew Our Minds - CES 2015

We begin to change our minds about the whole 3D TV concept after spending time with Samsung's huge 8K, glasses-free 3D TV.

Comments

  1. I wonder what this resolution would look like on Frank's 2000 inch tv.
  2. They should make this for PC monitors... but they should have camera sensors that detect head movement. Then the angle of the 3D changes depending on the movement of the head. Would work since PCs typically only have one user at a time.

This is how those "New3DS" screens work. Sensors detect head movement and the angle adjusts accordingly.
  3. 8K/4k may have a place for 3d. But if you plan on using the TV for normal viewing a resolution over 1080p really isn't worth it. I fell for the 4k thing, the TV does look great but its because of the HDR feature, not the resolution. The colors are amazing, but it is very difficult to see the difference in resolution on a 55" screen. If you don't believe me do some research.
*Edit: our eyes physically cannot resolve an image in better detail at 6+ feet at a resolution above 1080p. Unless you have cyborg eyes, in which case please PM me the details.
  4. Sadly 3D is discontinued
  5. Glasses free 3d should be in movie theaters, everyone sits infront of the screen instead of to the side.
  6. It's been 3 years, where's my TV?
  7. cant they fix this with curved displays? I mean so that people on the sides can see the 3d too
  8. I like this woman. She's a good reporter, telling it like it is without hype.
  9. I really wish they would make a 4k plasma TV. People like to say that it's old technology but nothing beats the colors or contrast of plasma except for OLEDs and those are way out of the average persons budget.
  10. The 3DS had this years ago..
  11. He's to old to be wearing that t shirt!!! 😏
  12. Wow this is the best and may be more better in future but it looks like this will be the best of
I am also working on Rear & Front Screen for Projectors if anyone like to visit my channel and choose holographic playlist
  13. A two piece projection system is much better than a 110" tv.
  14. this is worthless without footage
  15. 8k und 3d <3
  16. bullshite hosting.. right, right, right
  17. why is it so hard to make a 8k screen when 2560x1440 on a 6'' phone is becoming the norm?
  18. 8k +30fps
  19. Damn that's a big screen, almost as big as mine.
  20. 4k is just now starting to pick up steam. 8k is still a ways out, my educated guess has the earliest retail models coming to your local Best Buy at around 2019, though it won't be until at least 2021 to 2022 that they start to become more mainstream.
