School Kids Break Teeth Brushing World Record

Roughly 300,000 kids from 300 different schools in Nigeria recently joined together to set a new record for the most people brushing their teeth at the same time. Brushing ones teeth is an everyday, mundane task for most of us. But who would have thought that there are fun, tooth brushing events as well. Roughly 300,000 kids from 300 different schools in Nigeria recently joined together to set a new record for the most people brushing their teeth at the same time. The previous teeth brushing record breaking event was set in 2007 in India after 177,003 brushed simultaneously. According to the Nigerian Dental Association president, the successful record breaking attempt was geared towards teaching children the correct way to brush. He stated "Bringing our children, schoolchildren, letting them know the importance of brushing and having good oral hygiene, I think it is a good thing at this point in time for our country." The children were spread out all over the area to take part in the event. The largest group of kids was at a Stadium in Lagos. Smaller gatherings were held at numerous locations near the capital. The next tooth brushing event should probably be held in Britain.
