On 9/15/13, the Seattle Seahawks hosted the San Francisco 49ers at Century Link Field. Volume 12, an outside organization not directly associated with the Seahawks, organized an official attempt to break the Guinness World Record for loudest crowd at a stadium. According to CBS Sports, "Coming into the game, fans of Turkish soccer club Galatasaray S.K held the record of 131.76 decibels, set in March 28, 2011." This video of the 12th Man in Seattle shows the crowd's (first) successful attempt to break the record, including the play prior to the record-breaking one. The crowd reached 131.9 decibels in the first quarter after 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was sacked by Michael Bennett of the Seahawks. The video zooms in to show "That's 1 sack" up on the video screen right after the crowd erupts. PLEASE NOTE: The 12th Man demolished it's own record two quarters later. The current record held by Seattle's 12th Man is 136.6 decibels
