Did 4 years in the Marines, with my last stationed in Japan. Got separated out of Camp Pendleton. Had around 5K saved up, so I decided to wander Cali for a few weeks, before heading back to Illinois for college. Took the bus up to LA from San Diego and checked into a small hotel in Korea town. The second night, met a wonderful woman at a dive bar. Long story short, we rented out a little place apt for a few days blocks from the ocean. Coming from a life that was so structured, it was so odd and releasing to have nothing to do, but lose yourself in someone else. There is nothing like cooking food and drinking wine with a wonderful woman with the breeze of the ocean blowing through your place. Whenever I hear this song, I can still hear her laughter and taste her wine stained lips.

This is what frustrates me with Sheryl Crow - she's recorded some frankly superb tracks (this being a case in point). But she's also released some utter, utter clichéd dirge.
