Skateboarding goat: Happie enters Guinness Book of World Records 2013

When it comes to skateboarding animals, there is a new 'kid' in town! Happie the goat has just glided into the record books thanks to a little persuasion from her owner Melody Cooke. The car parks of Fort Myers, Florida, have seen Happie practicing her skills. Melody was stunned when she discovered her pet's talent: "She figured out how to get on and 'woah' this is amazing the goat can skateboard. Let me see how far I can go with this." Happie has broken the world record for travelling the furthest on a skateboard ever by a goat - 36 metres in 25 seconds. Melody filmed the feat and sent it in to Guinness World Record bosses but says there were reasons other than Happie to press the record button. "Especially with all the tragic things occuring recently, i just thought it was nice to show something fun and inspiring," she said. Report by James Sloan.
