Crested Butte is home of Colorado's first X Games, the Annual U.S. Extreme Freeskiing and Boarderfest Championships, the Telemark Festival and the Elk Mountain Grand Traverse. Set amid towering mountain peaks, Crested Butte is a wonderful and truly unspoiled Colorado mountain town. This, of course, is the 8th annual US Extreme Boarderfest that was held in 2002 at snowy, Crested Butte, Colorado. This was one of the first snowboard competitions and lasted for several years. This program shows the extreme snowboarding competition that was around during 2002.
