State of Texas – A plan to end daylight saving time

If one lawmaker has his way, Sunday will be the last time you have to change your clocks for daylight saving time.

  1. I despise Daylight Savings Time! I always have... People... LEAVE TIME ALONE!
Was it Benjamin Franklin who originally came up with this fiasco?
And what about the kids getting up an hour earlier in the dark to walk to school or catch a bus? Doesn't save Daylight for them!
This whole scenario just makes it hard on everyone else including the accidents & sleepiness.
Now it seems, they keep shaving off weeks of Real Time in the fall as they finally end DST less than 2 months before year's end, & we start the accursed thing earlier in the spring!
So we only have about 5 months of Real Time now.

So I keep half my clocks at the Real Time in my kitchen & living room, the other half adjusts themselves automatically to Fake Time in my bedroom & office. I spend several months saying to myself.... This is Fake Time...This is Real Time! My body clock definitely knows the difference & responds to Real Time. It's one of the privileges of not punching a time clock in the working world.

...Farmers, by the way...use the sun to tell them when to get up with the chickens... All Nature adjusts itself to the Natural Rhythms of Shorter days in Fall & Winter & Longer days in Spring & Summer... There's something so peaceful, & even restful by aligning yourself to the way God made things.
I much prefer the 'Lord's Time!'

I prefer Central Standard Time! I hate half my morning seeming to be gone because I've lost an hour in the morning via DST!
Living in Texas, I truly look forward to ridding ourselves of this fiasco called DST all together...
    GO TEXAS!
  2. Not so much of an inconvenience when it comes to Daylight Savings Time during the fall when you gain an hour of sleep. I don't think this whole thing is such a big deal.
  3. Leave the clocks this way all year long, no more changing clocks! Make this a national law!
