  3. Hi Stig,

    What's your PB without O2 ?

22min with O2 is still a huge performance don't worri, nobody never said the opposite.

I agree with Fernand to say that , even if the performance is here (22min is huge even with 02 FIX before the dive), a lot of freedivers worldwide, and not home made heroes trust me, are considering that having an 02 purge before the dive is only for the show. It's good for TV. It's good for GUINNESS.

And, with all due respect, it is far away from freediving ethics : it is simply not natural.

Signed : one of the 50 best freedivers worldwide, not a home made hero.
  4. Breathtaking video !
  5. Real life superpowers
  6. it's very nice and pretty. And Stig gets all my consideration for what he's done, but please be precise.
This 22min breathold "Guinness" world record sound very long, but what the film makers or Stig himself are forgetting to say, is that it's only after having a HUGE SHOT OF PURE O2 DURING 10MIN before starting the "dive".
Considered by the majority of freediving community worldwide as a "cheating" world record, the one and only worldwide universaly recognized breathold world record WITHOUT PURE O2 FIX BEFORE DIVING, is the 11min35s from the frenchy Staphane Mifsud. OK, Stephane has accomplished the huge performance in his own pool at his parent's house, and most of the freedivers i meet around the world including me, are ok to say that it's very different from official competitions conditions, but STILL, HE DIDN'T BREATH PÜRE O2 BEFORE TO GO.

Plus : please film makers, stop associating freediving and near death experience. This sport is exactly the opposite.

    Thank you :)
