Strongman record: Man pulls 12 cars with rope attached to waist in Lithuania

Lithuanian strongman, 38 years-old Zydrunas Savickas, set a new Guinness World  Record on Sunday (December 1) for the most cars pulled by an individual. Savickas pulled 12 cars, attached to his waist by a rope and totally weighing 12,941  kilograms, for 5 metres in 32,9 seconds. In 2012, Savickas successfully pulled 20 cars, attached together by rigid connectors,  weighing a staggering 27,513 kilograms. The record, however, was not registered by Guinness World Records officials, as he  had used a special ladder, fixed to the road, to aid himself. Rules state that the attempt can only be completed if the participant's feet are directly on the pavement, and the hands are holding onto a rope. euronews: the most watched news channel in Europe Subscribe! http://eurone.ws/10ZCK4a euronews is available in 14 languages: http://eurone.ws/17moBCU In English: Website: http://www.euronews.com/news Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/euronews.fans Twitter: http://twitter.com/euronews Google+: http://google.com/+euronews VKontakte: http://vk.com/en.euronews
