Testing The GE9X Jet Engine, the World’s Largest Jet Engine
GE is using its Genx engine to test parts for the GE9X jet engine. That engine, which GE is developing for Boeing new 777X plane, will be the world’s largest engine with 11 feet in fan diameter.

Best diesel locomotives. Best large jet engines. Unrivaled traction power and unrivaled thrust.
good explanation of the worthwhile differences between Prat engines ,well done
Why do they keep saying it's their largest. It's not! It's actually a smaller and less powerful version of the model it's based on
The GE90 is still the best and loudest i love it :D
i hear this engine tossed and burned 3 quarts of oil during this video
do you really know i am tenth standard failed ?
what can i say. im sold. were do i sign up? my central heating is annoying the shit out of me
As a senior of Mechanical Engineering I really enjoyed the way that you kind of dumbed this down and hinted at underlying principles of thermodynamics and materials science. You sir, are a great communicator.
Shit video not testing only talking bullshit.
I think it makes about 80 percent off the fan these new engines are junk!
Fake headline.
I'd like to buy one and fix it on my bicycle.
Isn't the large bypass fan for cooling?
Longest 3 and a half minutes of my life
I hope it's more reliable than their dishwashers.
This guy reminds me of Rockwell Automation's Retroincabulator: "...of prefamulated amulite surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two sperving bearings run a direct line with the panametric fam".
talking that much bullshit, he makes a russian turbo jet look efficient!
How does he take something so brilliant and make it so incredibly dull.....
I must learn this stuff. My current job sucks.
Instead running the engine hotter... how about raising the fuel injector pressure to help produce smaller fuel molecules to help atomize the fuel. The bigger molecules take more heat to combust.
YAWN I am done...apparently this guy knows everything about jet engines.. LOL
