The Best New Rooftop Tents from Outdoor Retailer

If the number of rooftop tents on display at the 2016 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market was any indication, sleeping on top of your car is a big trend this year and promises to keep growing into 2017. In this video, we highlight our favorite models from the show floor, from Tepui, James Baroud, and Yakima.

Comments

  1. This guy gets paid by the 'um, er, eh...'. FFS, we were taught not to do that in 7th grade. Face for radio and a voice for silent movies...
  2. Nice am looking
  3. why do you need a drum machine going on while you are talking
  4. The Yakima looks like crap. I honestly wouldn't waste my money on it. It looks like they used the same material from a UL tent. At least with Tepui or CVT they use more rugged materials. At if it sits on your tent who gives a crap about saving weight with thinner materials.
  5. uh, what are u uh, talking, uh about? is it like uh, stuff and uh, like things? this is like so uh, educational like uh fore uh, like the uh, people and ya.
  6. this video make a great drinking game 1 shot for every umm and 2 drinks uh
  7. uhhhh...
  8. Are you seriously using a mic with a cord on it? LOLLLL
  9. 01:26 YUMMMM
  10. Super Super Super..... Why is everything super this or super that???
  11. Aaa, and aaa, and aaaa... please!
  12. light weight nylon? hey, we've all had nylon tents and we know how long they last. for the money why not a heavier weight fabric - we dont have to hump it in anywhere. I smell short life/cost ratio. meh.
  13. So funny to say its a growing trend, i was doing this with a "Shipaway" RTT 27 years ago!
  14. roof top tents nascent..... LOL. best take a trip to Africa and down under... more to down under.
  15. New Trend?? Perhaps, but TRY sleeping in one when the wind is blowing and the FLAPPING, keeps you up all night with NO relief what so ever from the constant flapping and beating of the fabric. You're left with a beat-up feeeling of a SLEEPLESS night. It's the same with the older trailer models with fabric tents. WIND, is the down fall of this "tent" or any kind of fabric tent.
  16. umm aahh..should I umm leave ahhh umm comment
  17. stopped  watching after the tenth ahh um pity would have been a good watch oh well you got my click anyway.
  18. the baroud models run from $3,100.00 $4100.00 dollars. someone at this company has a yacht.
  19. Where are these 'Outdoor' events held at? I would love to attend one!
