Actually that's how big lobsters should get. Back before the whole nation desired lobster as a main entree in restaurants, it used to be peasant food, fished for pure protein for labor workers and prisoners. Back then they used to grow to that size, some even bigger. But then, when the ability to ship fresh lobster around the world raised the price of the crustacean, it began to be seen as a delicacy. The lobster was now being fished and dished out of the water faster than even. Faster than the lobster could grow to full size. That lobster wasn't on "steroids" it simply lived a full life. Or so we think, because no one really knows how long a lobster lives in its natural environment because it rarely lives that long before it is eaten. But, hey, lobster is delicious.
