  1. I have only heard of 75% fat/ 20% protien/ 5% carbs. with the fat I kinda have been skimping on the last few days ( too lazy to eat fat) and I can tell I have less energy. I think I am going to have to add coffee and coconut oil back into my diet. 1cup coffee to 1 TSP coconut oil.
  2. 85% fat! The only way i could do that is to eat KFC. Which i could do mind;)
  3. I go to Quick Weight Loss Center who helps me with my diet. The only thing they sell and I buy from them are multivitamins, protein shakes and protein bars. Protein shakes are not milky. The shakes are more like fruit juices but made into a powder that I mix with water. My protein bar is chocolate peanut butter made from the factory Quick Weight Loss buys from. I'm loosing 2-3 pounds a week. Here's Example of my Ketogenic diet in one day.
Morning: 1 egg and 1 slice of 40 cal natures own break toasted with 1 tablespoon land o lakes light butter and I drink 6 ounces of skim milk.
Mid morning: 1 small orange and protein shake.
Lunch: 8 oz grilled chicken seasoned only w non salty seasoning. I use pepper, lemon, 1/4 tsp Morton light salt. 1 cup raw broccoli and 1 cup lettuce w 2 tablespoons of skinny girl honey digion dressing. It's 10 calories per 2 tablespoons. 2 slices Melba toast.
Mid afternoon: 1 small green apple and protein bar.
Dinner: same as lunch. There's more foods to eat, but I am just giving you an example.

It's a must daily you have 1 tbsp land o lakes light butter, 6 oz skim milk, and 1/2 tsp of morons light salt.

This diet works! I'm losing 3 pounds a week. In 1998 I was 136 pounds and went to Quick Weight Loss to do this ketogenic diet. In 7 1/2 weeks I was 110 pounds. I'm 5 foot 3.

I have SO much energy!! I am so glad I am doing this diet!!
  4. Since i clicked the subscribe button, i hope to see you on the next video 😀
  5. Love the note of caution and moderation from my favorite Dr.
  6. So much great advice!!
  7. This is such a help to me. Thank you so much for sharing. I have been eating keto strictly for a little over 2 weeks and would notice that I would bloat again after eating the higher fat meals because i was forcing myself to eat too much fat and it was making me nauseated, and I had the pain in the right shoulder which I learned from another of your videos today is from gall bladder issues processing too much fat. But I wanted to ask if pain in the left shoulder close to the base of the neck is an indicator for something I can correct. I get it intermittently and thought (just like the right shoulder) that I just needed to do more yoga, but even with the yoga and stretching at work (I sit a lot due to my job- trying to walk more now) it will flare up. Thank you for any assistance and blessings to you and your family.
  8. if you vegiterian can you ketosis diet?
  9. I have been on the keto diet for 6 years in the first 6 months lost 60lbs then lost the rest over the next 6 months and now I do keto for 10 weeks then have week break don't go mad on sugar or carbs when on the break but I have a few treats. when I started my new diet/lifestyle I was 260lbs at 5ft6inch female now I am 165lband have been this weight consistently for the last 5yrs I have lost the weight without upping my activity levels as I have back hip and ankle issues. this diet has worked for me I find it an easy plan to stick to. As far as the fat in the diet, i can honestly say that I didn't over indulge my diet is mostly protein like chicken with the skin or pork or fish eggs cheeses and green veggies I don't like red meats the only thing I miss when on the diet is bread lol but that's what treat week is for.
  10. This actually made me feel better. I was worried I wasn't eating enough fat.
  11. Atkins induction is the way to go.
  12. very important questions when you are in ketosis:
    1. what fat is being burned when you eat less calories than your body needs for the day:
i guess it is the fat that you eat plus some fat of the body.
i also guess it is mostly the visceral fat around the organs that is getting burned, right?

    2. what happens with the fat, if you eat too much fat/calories than the body needs?
is still some visceral fat burned but some new fat that is coming in stored somewhere else? where is the new incoming fat stored?

    3. when you eat exactly as much fat as the body burns in a day:
is only this new incoming fat burned or does the body burn new incoming fat and stored fat (especially visceral fat) and the rest of the new incoming fat that is not burned stored somewhere else?

ad.3. if you are on a ketogenic diet and you have a day where you eat more fat than the body needs that day, does at least the body distribute the fat from visceral body fat to some other storage? so if you don't loose weight, could it still be beneficial for you health?
  13. bull shit only reason you dont loose weight is if your energy intake is too high.
    PERIOD
  14. This makes total sense to me. For folks saying you need 60-70% fat is alot I think. But there is a big diff in the amount of fat dependant on how many total calories yr intake is. 60% of 1500 cal vs 2500 is a good amount of diff. I'm going to try the fast for 16hrs along with LCHF and see where this gets me - Starting today , I've tried in the past but failed miserably.. Thx Dr. Berg
  15. I've been doing keto for 2 weeks. I realise that I only am now consuming 500 calories a day but I think that's dangerously low. Not really seeing any substantial differences and i don't get how that's possible. I'm 6"1 242, pounds about 25% body fat atm but very muscular. Do i have to cut out cheese? If so i'd be struggling to get the fats up
  16. I have a question and would really appreciate a reply on that...

I have started the keto diet from mid-Jan 2017... I never intended to loose much weight as I as of correct weight for my age and height... Basically I was of a good shape and size, but i wanted to get rid of those annoying lower belly and love handle fats and get a ripped physique...

And after 3 months I did achieve those results... But couple of weeks back when i did my blood and urine work... I found not so happy results....

    1) Found calcium oxalates in my urine(i contribute that to the amounts of spinach that i was eating). So then i was your video of how to include calcium sources while having your spinach, and now i've started to do that. I wanted to know that does consuming other leafy vegetables like Amaranth leaves, Fenugreek leaves, Malabar spinach etc also contribute towards kidney stones....

    2) My Triglycerides & LDL are way over the roof, double the necessary limit, whereas HDL is at a normal level... I dont know why this has happened, could it be because i might have consumed way more fats than required, but if that is the case then how come i also achieved a ripped physique??? I am really confused... So for the last 2 weeks I am very cautious regarding the fats I intake...

Could you please throw some light on my problem.... Thanks in advance...
  17. hehe that's why I don't make keto bombs anymore... I can't control myself
  18. If someone is 300+ lbs starting the keto, DO NOT EAT A LOT OF FAT! I suggest you keep your fat intake to 110-140 grams of fat per day and it's okay to go lower because you have a lot of fat built up already for your body to burn. Once you lose that weight THEN you start to consume a little more fat for health purposes. Trust me, I've lost 95 lbs in 8 months. Me avg calorie intake was about 1500 per day, my average fat intake was 110-120 per day, my average protein was about 80-100 per day (it's hard to keep the protein low doing keto) and my average carb intake was 7 grams per day (add the fiber my avg carb intake 14 grams per day)
  19. "Biggest mistake doing ketosis" sounds completely grammatically incorrect.
  20. I started with 200g fat a day, then i dialed it back after 2 month or so and started IF. Its going well, im maintaining body fat and building muscle slowly.
