It's a cool genetic factor; the bigger an animal is, the more likely it is to be calm and laid-back, but also lacking in curiosity and quickness in learning. Think buffalo compared to deer. Native Americans used to hide under flags and simply wait til a deer approached, then slayed it, but a buffalo could care less about an odd flashy thing. It's like, they don't have to worry about much when they're that big.
