  1. back when men were men....women were grateful.....and sheep kept there legs crossed in wales.
  2. I road raced 2 stroke 350 and 1000 superbikes in 80s The great thing about 2 stroke racing was that it was cheap as chips to race, easy to set up, Tyres cost way less. And you could fall off in one race, fix it with a rubber mallet between races and make the next event, so light and such a simple engine nothing much ever broke if you went down. And if the engine exploded you just swapped crank, pistons and barrels by next race, took about as long to shake the smashed piston bits out of the expansion chambers.
  3. " horrible, vicious, nasty beasts."
  4. Before I felt the fear in the words of the pilots when they were speaking about 500 cc machines, in the last years they are happier and smiling... jjjjjjj
  5. i rode an H2 for over 10 years and several major mods,,,still could decimate KZ 900/1000s Lost traction when the Ninja series came out. 750/ 1000 Super Sport Hondas...fuhgettabout it!
  6. Evinrude are the epitome of the two stroke motor with 300 hp put one in a bike please
  7. Just Slap on a socalled Ready made lMU computer & the wildness goes out the window & unrideable issue Solved. Slower & Heavier 4 strokes have them as Manditory FIA equipment in Happy & Gayness moto Socalled gp, WSBK, etc.etc.
  8. Where the 🎄uck you from ? Most dangerous my ass Numnuts, there way more responsive than any & every diesel type gas buring four stroke heavy pig there ever was. l've had Plenty of Powerful 2 strokes, starting from a pull start Keystone 50cc minibike, GT80, RD250, RD400F Daytona Special, RZ350F, RZ500V4, Suzuki TS250 On/off, & every one never tried to kill me like 4 strokes bikes have. Four strokes are Pig's with make up compared to great handling oil injector bikes. You notice my user icon ? well l have it for a good reason.
  9. That's why we MISS them so much..........Pure amazing to watch these guys !!
  10. Not dangerous, only for riders, not for daddy's kids.
  11. Wheeling down pit lane...life ban now........ohhhhh the good old days
  12. When I was younger I had a 1979 Yamaha RD400 Daytona Special with expansion chambers and filters and it was a real animal to ride on the street, but pretty light considering. I also recall my neighbor next door had a 3 cylinder Kawasaki 2 stroke 750 that was a pure beast as well. He used to pull wheelies in every gear leaving from his house and down the street.
  13. the best motorcycle times
  14. When Casey Stoner retired from GP racing,he was asked what would bring him back to the sport.'Bring back 2 strokes' was his answer!
  15. I'll never forget working in pit lane at the 1995 Australian GP and seeing an Aussie one two on home soil. Doohan won with Beattie in second. Criville was third and pissed. Also saw McCoy in the 125's but unfortunately, he had to retire from the race.

I do miss the 500's since you could see privateer bikes mixing it up with the factory teams and beating them. Today if you are not riding for one of the factory teams you have a very hard time being competitive.
  16. denco piped h-2 750 kawasaki.my first street bike.but i came off a 450 maico dirt bike and a rt 360 yamaha was my first dirt bike at age 14
  17. The mid 80's to late 90's were the most exciting times for roadracing.
  18. My brother took me to see Warren Willing and Greg Hansford at Oran Park in around '75. TZ750 and H2R 750. An IT175 X 4 and a KX250 X 3 !!!
  19. Two-stroke racing motorcycles are WHERE it's at!! If you don't have the instinct, feel, knowledge, perception, and guts to ride one, then you'll most likely crash!! A two-stroke bike in the wrong hands leads to disaster or death!
  20. bring them back.
