The Most Epic Civilization V Start Ever (for me)

This is the best start I've ever gotten with Civilization V. It's awesome. - has anybody else gotten a start like this before? About this game: I'm playing in a "maxed-out" game, as I like to call it. That's The most possible civilizations (22), the most possible city states (41), the largest map and size (Earth), and the longest duration (Marathon). This is on King difficulty, and I'm playing as Venice. Not only did I spawn on the ocean, with decent production potential, with luxuries around me... but I basically start the game with 3 workers and Mining Tech for free! Only thing making this better would be to have Marble worked. :) What's your best start story? Share it in the comments! Follow Charlie on Twitter: http://twitter.com/charliepryor Like HotTips! 1. Jungle start and you started near a civ
  2. Without the ruins, it's not an abnormal start.
  3. 6 production for your capital is absolutely rubbish especially as Venice as you can't settle anywhere else. If I had this start I would automatically quit.
  4. gay dipshit
  5. You never fucking capture settlers bro..... "Best ever" ... I mean did you play the game like 1 or 2 times prior?
  6. My best start was in the desert, with ruins right next to me... boy am I lucky.
  7. got a desert start as germany next to a river and a single mountain tile, had 3 gold sources, one incense and two wheat next to the river and a bunch of hills. also got desert folklore from an early faith ruin and got petra super early
  8. Y so many dislikes?
  9. This is the Most Epic Waste of Youtube Space Ever!
  10. whats awesome about not having a mountain
  11. It is impossible to capture settlers from anyone else. If you take someone's (Civ or city-state) settler it automatically turns in to a worker, being Venice has nothing to do with it.
  12. 3 copper, 1 marble, 1 silver, 1 stone with a Bison, 2 Cow Squares, and 2 Deer squares and 1 wheat in my radius. On a SPLIT river delta that ran through like 9 of my squares, next to a mountain and 2 desert flood plains. After horseback riding, had a horses pop up, and discovery of iron had one pop up. Almost auto-discovered a +1 pop directly from east upon reveal. I should have saved that game at 4000BC.
  13. Jungle's are crap with no production unless playing as Brazil
  14. Can you zoom in abit? I can´t see what civ you're playing.
  15. absolutely shit start bro
  16. Yeah you got it right i once started with 22 worth of uranium next to my capital
  17. No hill, not on a mountain, moving very slowly through jungle, can't chop jungle till bronze working and no growth tiles...
  18. open tree tech man
  19. Worst start ever
  20. Best one was, when I started next to a river, 4 spots of salt, a ruin that gave me mining and the one natural wonder that gives you 500G for spotting it first. So I had a second Settler in round 6 or smth like that which boosted my game insanely. Still lost in my first try with that savegame, since deity and zulu as neighbours and stuff. :D
