You are extremely lucky the motor didn't stall. If it did your engine would of filled up with water and your car sunk to the bottom. Also was it worth it doing thousands of dollars damage to your interior carpet and electrics filling up your cabin with water?? Be prepared for the interior of your car to smell like a mouldy pussy for the next 4 months due to water damage. 4WD enthusiast thinking they are invisible in their 4WDs. Remember your in a car not a tank !

in a situation like this you have GOT to open the doors and LET THE CAB FILL WITH WATER. This will allow the car to sink and gain traction.
it actually floated away like a boat because the spinning of the tyres in the water was creating and effect like a boats propellers and creating motion because of water being displaced by spinning tyres. so eventually it drifted on the less deeper area where tyres touched the ground. amazing and lucky I say. if he had stopped the throttle and didn't let the tyres spin he wouldn't have reached the shore
