  3. In case, like me, you’ve been losing your time looking for a diet plan that works, Google "lyly amazing guide. ” I have droped 14 lbs in A single week. Would advise this strategy to everyone who’s searching for a really powerful plan.
  4. Muscle weighs more than fat. It's pretty obvious that you won't lose that much weight from exercising because you're effectively replacing the low weight by volume fat with high weight by volume muscle.
The thing is: weight isn't really what most people are actually interested in reducing. It's the fat they want to get rid of.
Though, yes. Diet is more important than exercise in a general sense.
  5. Wait a minute! Those hunters/gatherers in Africa... They live in a place where the average temperature is probably over 30 degrees Celsius all year. Of course their caloric expenditure will be lower than that of people living in a place where there's like 20 degrees.
  6. So you want to place the greatest contribution of metabolism and calorie burning on "resting metabolism". Fine, let's go with that

Then why are you suggesting exercise still isn't the best way to lose weight? Muscle burns FARRRRR more calories at rest than fat does. Exercise increases metabolism, even hours after you're finished, and lean muscle mass also increases base metabolism as well as helps in controlling blood glucose. You simply are not helping anyone by telling them "exercise isn't the best way to lose weight". Putting focus on weight period is also unhelpful, as losing weight doesn't necessarily mean you're losing body fat, just the same as gaining weight doesn't mean you're gaining body fat.

  9. Want to lose weight? Calorie count and stick to it with discipline. I ate 1200 kcal per day for 4 months, except on weekends when I ate what I wanted as long as I did not gain. At the end of it, I had lost 30 kg.

  13. When I first started my weight loss journey I worked out 5-6 days a week, 30-45 min each session. I ate like how I normally would. I lost about 1.5kg the first month. I felt that my results were not on par with the amount of effort that I was putting into my workouts, so I decided to change my eating habits. Lots of protein, fruits and veggies, water. And I stopped working out so vigorously. I only exercised about 2 days a week, 30 min each time. But yet I lost an additional 11kg the next 2 months.

Exercising made me stronger and physically more toned, but eating healthy was what made me lose the bulk of my excess weight.
  14. That's 4:56 mins of excuse... Even if you spent 4:56 to actually work out you'll see results in a month.
  15. This video can be very confusing so let me help out. Simply put, if you exercise but eat unhealthy junk foods, you won't lose weight. You can lose weight by simply cutting down your calorie intake and eating healthy, without exercise. However, from my experience of losing 85 pounds, the best way of losing weight is a balance of good nutrition and exercise. Calories in vs calories out. Less calorie intake + calories burned = weight loss. I recently started a YouTube channel to share my weight loss experience. If you're interested, check it out.
  16. You have to look at more than just calorie expenditure during exercise to know the true effects. Similar to those "compensatory effects", but in the opposite. What I've realized is that exercise tends to be an anchor for me in all other areas of my life. It is a sort of catalyst that will set of a healthy chain reaction.

For instance, I might be less inclined to eat fast food since I know that one Big Mac basically destroyed my whole workout. I will probably drink more water, not only during the workout but throughout the day too. I might want to sleep more because I know if I don't rest and recover, I'm going to be feeling dead in the gym the next day. I might not go out binge drinking on the weekend because I know that it's detrimental to my goals in the gym. All of those changes are brought about because I work out, and not because I'm eating less. Whereas, if I was just eating less, I wouldn't really change anything else in my life.

More water, healthier food choices, more sleep, less alcohol will all contribute to weight loss as well. So it's not just the exercise but the other lifestyle changes that happen when you exercise regularly and are committed to it. Take those all together and it definitely beats "eating less" by a huge margin. Exercise really is the key to a huge puzzle of weight loss and without that key your weight loss is going to be temporary at best.
