(Depending on how you define destroy) There is certainly NOT enough nuclear bombs to actually destroy the planet! Wipe out almost 99% of life? Yes. But the Earth will still be in one piece. Even if we were to detonate 10x as many nuclear bombs than have ever been created, the earth will still be here. It will be a complete wasteland, but we certainly do not have the power to actually blow up a planet.. yet.
