  1. What size battery bank?
  2. how much would an rv and the whole solar set up you have cost?
  3. How much?
    How much?
    How much?
  4. Great one to have, even going on a Canada or U.S tour in this is outstanding.
  5. I found it! It was the "How to Select the Best Inverter for an RV." I was looking under Solar Power not inverter. Great stuff by the way.
  6. I am looking for the video where you folks explain what you need for how much power you use. The one where Nikki is asking if she can run the microwave, coffee pot, and her hair driers at the same time. I know I left a comment on that video but I forgot to share it. It is so much easier to tell people, "watch the video". Tell you what, next time I am going to save it. Thanks again. Slim
  7. How much is the cost?
  8. how expensive are these panels? and how much modifications did you have to do to your RV to set that up?
  9. Hey guys. Quick question. Did you install this entire system yourselves, if not, would it be challenging, preferably on an older rv? A response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  10. Do you ever discuss mono and polycrystalline panels?
  11. So the Inverter Remote also acts as a Battery Monitor, nice! I would get an MPPT Solar Charge Controller though, not a PWM which loses a lot of power.
  12. dont get me wrong. this is a cool setup. and these two kids are cuter than a bugs ear. but this is a fancy setup. no details on how to. looks like more 'soar on a trust fund' stuff. enjoy but i need more hands on how to.
  13. This is great! So glad I stumbled upon this. My landlord just lost all his rental properties to foreclosure, so now Im homeless and looking to live in an RV full time and the solar panels are a perfect way to sustain a normal liveable life without using up fuel in a generator or off the main engine. Ive got $4k to buy an RV and need to save up for these panels. Thanks for making videos like this.
  14. Your videos are fantastic, I'm learning so much about technical gadgets which will solve my problems. I wondered how you guys ran your AC appliances without turning on the generator and on the batteries. Its because you have a Pure Sine Inverter, right? I'm not very clear on this, like missing a step in between. Did you install new outlets that were not powered by generator, but by the solar/battery setup via the Pure Sine Inverter? Also what I'm hearing is that normal AC house appliances will get damaged by running them in RV due to factory installed modified inverters that do not convert current properly? Very interesting. One request please: the background music is really annoying and preventing me hearing your voice most of the time. It would be fine if there was no talking but I sometimes have to turn off the sound due to the music in background. Please consider no music at all. Your voices are musical enough!
  15. I have noticed that you use a lot of low voltage devices but run them off 120v. Every time voltages get converted 12v>120v or 120v>12v you lose some energy because no device is 100% efficient (note the wall warts getting warm is energy lost to heat). Have you researched a better way of running those low voltage devices directly off of the battery. Like the old cigarette lighter adapter. Is there a 12v outlet option that could be near the 120v outlets from the RV manufacture?
  16. We want something that will run dorm size fridge, two desktop computers, a tv and a game system. The toilet is composting, shower is hand pump and we have a wood stove (believe it or not) for cooking/heating so we only need solar power for those things mentioned in the beginning. Will we need a lot of power? This is our first time and I feel really out of sorts trying to figure this out.
  17. Does anyone know what this exact solar setup would cost?
  18. In this video you use a water distiller. I am not finding this appliance on the web. Can you help?
  19. YOU ~ ROCK ! !
  20. Is that electronics cabinet ventilated? I imagine it might get pretty hot in there, which could reduce the lifetime of your electronics.  You might try sticking a thermometer in there when its been running for a while to make sure it doesn't get too hot.
