  1. The Biggest Loser has just shown for popular culture what the scientific literature has shown for 150 years. Exercise may facilitate some weight loss, but it is at the expensive of metabolism. The body fights back. The body is inherently efficient, not inherently inefficient. Trying to make the body inefficient is contrary to the goals and programming of biology and evolution. It's 80 - 90% diet and appropriate nutrition.
  2. It makes people feel discouraged. When I don't lose a lot of weight in a few weeks like they do on the show I feel like I'm not making good enough progress.
  3. the way this show teaches losing weight is in a harshest and most stressful way.stress actually causes more fat..uh this is not how you lose weight folks. it's a gradual process,,nothing is instant
  4. What's that?  It's all faked and staged?  Noooo... it's reality tv it must be real and we must all talk about it.
  5. Sounds like the contestants are a bunch of crybabies because now that they aren't monitored and pushed, they don't have what it takes to keep the weight off. Of course an extreme boot camp reality show will be more intense than a normal weight loss journey... surprise! These contestants were given a gift. Now that the weight is gone and they have SOME muscle, they could simply follow a ketogenic diet and remain slender for life.
  6. that explains why my metabolism is shit now. I lost 60 pounds in 3 months and gained that and more back any tips on how to get my metabolism back to normal?
  7. I would like to know how are they doing in Australia.... Because in the Australian version they seem to do things so differently from the american version
  8. these people regained the weight not because of slow metabolism and all these other excuses. They gained weight because they went back to their old ways of eating and no exercise
  9. that's right..
  10. If these fat fucks ate healthy and exercised after the show they would have kept the weight off... obviously. They are not "victims"... LMAO!
  11. Okay but the first point about the metabolism isnt something shocking. Even in steady weightloss if someone is in a long term calorie deficite, the bodys metabolism slows down over time to meet the new demand of energy. That is why there are plenty of studies and foodplans that encourage to take a rest period from constant calorie restriction with 3-7 days off of restriction to normalize the metabolic rate and kick up the fat burning hormones. It's just an evolutionary thing that humans have, our bodies adapt to the new low, and try to preserve for bad days. That is why many people hit weightloss platou and gain weight rapidly when they resume to normal/bigger eating habits. Take the 3-7 days off of restriction, you'll gain a little, but then you'll lose more after you start again, and thus you're off of platou.
  12. Humans are not supposed to be fat but most of people are just lazy and don't care about their health or their kids health.
  13. Lose that damn weight ... and stop complaining ...
  14. Some Words of Wisdom:

eat every 3 hours! 5 times a day!
have high protein (Yogurt, Chiken breast, Salmon, Cattle Filet, Egg whites) intake, low carb intake, enough nutrients, and keep yourself hydrated during the day!

eat a meal of junk food, shit you realy love, once a week only on the day you picked as "cheat day"
otherwise every day will be cheat day!

learn to control yourself! and say no to snacks passing around you! you got your cheat day for that!

Avoid Soft drinks like "Coca Cola" (absolute TOXIC WASTE), Any Sugar! White Bread! pasteries!
avoid "Margarine" and products that contain "Trans Fats" like the Plague!

(Recomended to go to a serious dietritian with expirience, who will give you a good diet plan, avoid retards!!! make sure the dietritian counts your body fat %! and keep track!

do some weight lifting, to get more muscles mass = higher BMR

Avoid pills, avoid all these "Special Herbs", Super Diets...
    Absolute BULLSHIT!!!
the last thing you need, is some fatal diet written by a mediocre retarded witch doctor...
and destroy your metabolism or become anorexic!

do some interval running even for only 20-30 min 3/2 times a week (and keep improving your speed)... jogging is absolute shit for weight loss!

avoid studios for the masses, and cycling and all other garbage where they claim they will make you burn 1000 calories in an hour!
    LIES!

again GYM!!! weight lifting!!! will do you so much good! and yes Girls, Im talking to you to!!!
stop with this mind set that girls spouse to jog and stretch ass!
you should start doing weight lifting, and dont worry you wont get buffed like a guy!
you will get lean and defined and fit and skinny!

do this and you will all be on the way to become a Sweet Piece of Ass!
  15. The first point references a study. Be warned, the study probably has an insufficient sample size. The study is not valid from a statistically significant standpoint. I'm not saying the conclusion they came to is wrong, I'm saying there is insufficient data for the study to make a conclusion with confidence. Anyone else notice that?
  16. karma is a bitch for both hosts.
  17. they didn't regain the weight because of how they lost it. they regained it because they have a mental disorder and are addicted to food.
  18. well because they probably stopped excercising and went back t o old habbits like most lazy fat people do
  19. Or you can go a plant-based/ vegan diet and loss wait without much exercise and be healthier.
