The world's largest Mig 25 RC Scale model airplane - the test flight

This is the maiden flight of what is probably the largest jet-powered scale model of a Mig 25. At 4.2 meters long and weighing in at 42Kg, this is a huge model, skillfully test-flown by 18-year-old Clinton on the first day of the 2011 ANZAC jet rally in Tokoroa New Zealand. 3. I searched internet and see that original mig 25 empty weight is 20000kilograms and 19,75meters long.So as i calculate (19,75/4,2)^3= 103 so your plane should be around 194kilograms minimum.And max landing weight is 308 kilograms.How do you calculate weight of model planes?

6. Clinton is one helluva good RC pilot, but not too chatty. LOL.

I have watched a ton of videos on R/C aircraft and am a commercially licensed flight instructor myself, and I have never seen a pilot who is so smooth and doesn't over control the aircraft like this young man. His landing was realistic as well because he doesn't just drag it in and then chop the throttles over the fence. He actually had a nice, smooth reduction in power as he started slowly bringing the nose up and letting the remaining airspeed bleed off to let it settle. Very hard to do in R/C aircraft that tend to be overpowered to scale and light enough to be overly pitch sensitive and want to climb instead of flare. Probably the best piloting I've ever seen in that it looked like a real flight instead of an R/C flight. Amazing.

12. Some and all of these airplanes are incredible on here  believe its possible to shrink aircraft tech a full jet turbine engine and all its working parts that makes a model jet fighter fly iam impressed  thanks.
