THE WORST FATAL CRASH OF ALL TIME (Jeff Krosnoff fatal Crash - Live Coverage)

RIP... On July 14, 1996 with 3 laps to go in the Molson Indy Toronto at Exhibition Place Krosnoff was involved in a horrendous accident. Krosnoff's car made wheel-to-wheel contact with the car of Stefan Johansson, sending it into the air, over a concrete barrier, and into the catch fencing lining the street course.[1] The fence did not deflect the car enough to keep it from hitting a tree which was inside the fencing. The violence of the accident left the car broken in half and sent the cockpit section back across the track. Even though the paramedics were there almost immediately, Krosnoff was already dead after striking the tree. A track volunteer, Gary Avrin, was also killed in the accident when he was struck by the right front wheel of Krosnoff's then-airborne car.

Comments

  1. I don't think this really compares with those unfortunate souls who burned to death while people stood and watched as if it was part of the entertainment.
  2. it is crazy how long it takes for these track operator's not to shut down the track while apparently seriously injured drivers are sprawled out on the track.
  3. it is actually best fatal crash
  4. Was the guy cut in half?
  5. the violence of the crash chocked!
  6. Holy shit this sucks big time
  7. stefan johansson must be scarred for life for causing that accident
  8. Road courses suck. Turning city streets into a racetrack is so lame. There's literally nowhere to pass and one false move and it's into the wall. And they are the furthest thing from smooth as you'll ever see. Once you get hooked on to formula 1 there's just no comparison to this league if any other ones
  9. I remember watching this live on TV. My dad and I waited through a Golf program (not a fan) that came on after this to make sure the driver was okay. It hurts to watch not one but two people die right in front of you.
  10. Gordon smiley?
  11. only in america... their friend die & they continu the race... stupid morons ! fu*** america
  12. Why did it take so long to stop this race? It's disgraceful how they had cars driving past while marshals attended to Krosnoff.
  13. Not the worst vid of motorsport fatal. that has to be either Don McTavish, Tom Pryce or Gilles Villeneuve.
  14. This is why I hate street tracks. Because of how narrow they are.
  15. gordon smiley.
  16. where is his body?
  17. The 1998 f1 belgium grand prix was so much worse because there was a huge crash at the beginning taking most of the cars out of the race and luckily not killing anyone. And it kept happening during the race thanks to the rubble on the track that was put on the cars that got through before the red flag took effect. And to add to that it was raining making it even more slippery.
  18. Like yeah man died but as far as Lauda accident in 76 it was worse to stay for 1 minute at 900 * C is Horos
  19. Jesus talked a lot about being ready and that He is coming soon. We must repent and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and be born again to enter the kingdom of heaven. Our last day on this earth could come at any time.
  20. burnout takedown
