Tokyo's BIGGEST MEGA ICE CREAM CONE

Spring has come to Japan and soon Summer. Anyone who has visited Tokyo during this time will tell you just how hot and humid it can get. As a result the Japanese people have come up with some deliciously creative, ways to beat the heat. Many of them a sight to behold let alone chow down on. Even when on a mission resisting the urge to stop for a while at each of the stores found in Nakano station is a difficult proposition. Each one was so packed full with interesting and unusual stuff to see you could easily spend hours without reaching ever your destination. But Oz and I were determined and after getting lost for a bit a helpful soul pointed us in the direction we needed to go. Having done a little research into the store before I came I discovered that indeed there was a method to the madness of serving people massive ice-cream cones. The owner said it was actually a way to save time when line ups form in the most popular periods of the summer. I in my hunger hubris had come here to eat the cone alone but usually this would be a treat reserved for people who are intending to share and in doing so would allow the store to serve more customers their much needed cool down on a hot summers day. 13. That is pretty darn big. We used to have an Ice Cream shop in Toronto called Summerfield's that served an ice cream close to that size, but not quite as big. This video reminded me of those good old days! Ask Oz, he'll fill you in!
