TOP 3 BIGGEST MISTAKES I MADE AS A RUNNER

I want to talk about my 3 biggest mistakes I made as a runner so hopefully you can learn from them. There are a lot of other things I'd like to talk about as well like why you should rotate your shoes, why long runs are overrated, why you should run doubles as many days a week as you can, and so on but these 3 were the ones that came to my mind first. ----------------------------------- My Instagram: http://instagram.com/drewlikesrice 100% of my training on Strava: https://www.strava.com/athletes/1677334 ROYALTY FREE MUSIC by Incompetech.com

  1. Love your videos man! I just started doing videos as well. Keep it up
  2. screw sugar. that isnt healthy. no dietitian would ever recommend sugar. its good when you workout and 30min after, but thats the only time. it makes your bloodsugar spike. its not good.
  3. Is it bad to drink coffee the same day that you'd be running?
  4. Tbh i disagree with like A LOT of what you think lmao but your running advice is pretty solid!
  5. But refined sugar causes you to spike and crash. Endurance is about a slow burn, which you don't get from refined sugar, you get a burst and then a crash. You need complex carbs which you get from your pastas, rices and bananas. Oh and fat doesn't make you fat. Over eating any of your macro nutrients can make you fat. Carbs can make you fat and so can proteins if you eat too much of it.
  6. I'm still confused how you eat so many calories per day, but you're so skinny? How do you do that
  7. 10-15k PFFT got to 10K in 2 months gg
  8. I don't have your aerobic capacity but I run on Easy day @7 km/h (indeed very easy as I follow Jack Daniels principles too). Thanks to this (after 5 month ) I now went down by 15 BPM for the same path with my heart rate. It allow my feet to recover from the pounding on the concrete from the hard workouts and to relax. 20 mins Tempo run helps a lot too.
  9. hey drew, do you have any experiences with HOKA ONE ONE running shoes?
  10. Great advices!
  11. Hey I got a question, how do you make sure that your body gets 5000 calories a day? I know for certain that I don't get enough calories to fuel my workouts.( Right now I'm just trying to make sure I eat and eat and don't skip meals) Also, how many miles do you run a day that make you need 5000 to 6000 calories a day?
  12. very helpful 😊
  13. drew, is high fructose corn syrup-containing (vegan) syrup bad for health??? thanks for your help!
  14. So whats wrong with getting protein? Is it just the fact that it makes you get less carbs?
  15. Great video. I really injured my knee 2 winters ago by constantly running everyday on pavement avg around 20mi a week. My knees hurt so bad. I plan to now bike more during the winter instead of keeping cycling as a summer sport.
  16. I totally agree with the too fast on easy days and it took me 10 years to realize it :)
  17. Would love to hear why you think long runs are overrated. Great vid!
  18. What do you think about interval workouts on training cycles where you're only focused on increasing mileage?
  19. Enjoyed the vid but disliked because of non-metric units. #yourewelcome 😉
  20. Great video! Started running easier after reading matt fitzgerald's 80/20-book. Good read!
But again, do you do anything special to get enough iron?
