A turbo diesel Toyota 4x4??? Exactly. In this video, Rex visits the Balckrhino74 workshop to get a look at a Cummins 4BT powdered 1983 Toyota 4x4 truck. As you probably know, a strong coronal mass ejection from the Sun or an E.M.P. burst from a nuclear attack could render any vehicle with sensitive electronic ignition components a useless deathtrap! When the "BIG ONE" finally hits, Blackrhino74 and Rex will be able to enjoy a nice Sunday drive through the countryside to safety in ease while the rest of society scrambles for life running in frantic circles in the nearest WALMART parking lot with no way to get the food and cigarettes they just looted back to 'the hood'! lol Yeah, OK - we know... just let us have our fun :-) But this truck is fun to drive! This custom build is still in the testing phase and new mods and improvements are being made continuously. A winning combination of reliability, torque, and fuel economy makes this a highly desirable conversion, especially for applications warranting minimal reliance on sensitive electronic circuitry. Note: A full battery disconnect, additional shielding on critical wiring, and a few spare critical starter components may be advised for mitigating serious EMP threats. An advanced fabrication skill level is required for success.
