Toyota Tacoma aftermarket. 33-inch tires, off road, Can you fit 33-inch tires on a Tacoma? Yes, it can be done. Not particularly easily, but with the right knowhow, it can be done, and very successfully. This is Bob Towry's 2015 Toyota Tacoma. He talks about what needed to be done, how they did it, and some of the problems faced. I drove in this vehicle on a one week day trip through the Mojave Desert, followed by Yosemite National Park, where we shot this video. The vehicle performs extremely well, with a small cost to fuel consumption, off road and on road performance were both improved. 4. LOL 2 weeks to fit 33' tires, what a clown. It's not that hard at all. Get a 3-4 in lift and 33's will fit easily. I know becuase I have a 4 in lift on my taco
5. To funny Andrew. I have a 2010 Tacoma Double Cab 4x4.  OME suspension and 315/70R/17 Coopers.
6. I didn't realize it was so difficult to put 33s on the taco. I put 33s on my fj with a 2inch ome lift and literally nothing else. I eventually went up to a 35 and had to do the body mount chop. I did replace the upper control arms and removed the front sway to get better articulation. I also have 4.88 gears with front and rear air lockers and a domello front bumper with 12k lbs winch
7. BUYER BEWARE ! Toyota Frames RUST through ! I have a 2007 Tacoma and the frame is a rusty piece of shit. Toyota refuses to do anything to make it right. Look up Rusty Frames Tacoma ! You find thousands of Tacoma owners with the same problem. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER TOYOTA AGAIN !  If you have frame rot on your Tacoma post every place possible and hit Toyota where it hurts !

I lifted my 2011 dblcab using old man emu. ome leaf packs are great for hauling btw. plus I tow a 10x6 enclosed trailer, loaded with my tools n materials everyday. just lifting it the 2.5 inches I was able to put 285s easily on my rig. a 285 is basically a 33. jba headers, borla exhaust. and valant intake system. I've been wheeling all over the United States. moab Utah, the Rockies in Colorado. all over southern Arizona. the pine Barrens of new Jersey.

13. Yea. The right wheel offset will solve your problem easily. Its easy to do. From the factory the odometer is calibrated for 33s.

15. Also, you can put a 33" tire in the spare location. You just have to take a hammer to the metal arms that stick down, and move them out a bit.

    My tacoma came with 26 inch tires, and after putting 30 inch tires on, it really makes a huge difference!
20. I stuffed a 33 in my rig's stock spare location.  You just have to bend some tabs out of the way.
