  1. Dude. get your facts right, it was made in Havre, Montana, and has never left the u.s. in its life.

  4. They were built in Havre Montana
  5. its just another copy pasted video
  6. it's made in America bro
  7. I don't get the "from Russia, where else"
  8. It's American
  9. Title makes it sound like the Big Bud is from Russia, well it is not. Russians couldnt make a tractor as good as the big bud,
  10. Nice warm up dork.
  11. Were it from Russia, I doubt in would run.
  12. I don't think that whoever posted this video "meant" the 747 was / is... from Russia, I think that the person who filmed it, was... also, The Williams' "hosted" foreign Ag student tours of their ranch, from time to time. This video was filmed prior to when it was completely gone through.... late 2007 or 08.

Since this was filmed, it was rebuilt and tuned "up" to 1,100 hp specs (approximately 3041 ft lbs of torque at 1900 rpms & 3398 ft lbs at 1700 rpms)...... the engine was originally 760hp spec when first installed in the tractor.. then 860, and 960 specs later.

They hauled it to Iowa, and was on loan to the Heartland Acres Agribition Center in Independence, Iowa during 2010 & 2011...
and it is currently (I believe) on exhibition at the Heartland Museum in Clarion, IA.... but is still owned by the Williams, brothers in Big Sandy.

The tires are 8' tall (new), and were custom made by a Canadian company (United Tire, if I remember right) that went bankrupt in 2000 or 2001 (I forget, exactly)..... and that was "part" of their decision to retire the 747 from regular work on the ranch/farm, in 2009.

Too bad that it had been let go, into such a sad state of tune by the time this was filmed (2007 or 08?), the brothers purchased it (1997) & brought it "back home" from Indialantic, Florida (just south of Cape Canaveral), to Big Sandy... just south of Havre (where it was built in 1977 by Ron Harmon & crew)... the rack was way out adjustment, "tired" and was in need of a complete rebuild or reman, at least the engine was.....also "seems" to be a point somewhere in the fuel system that is allowing it to lose its prime.... not showing any signs fuel at the injectors at a couple of points in the video, while cranking it... and when it does fire off, it's not "even" from one bank to the other.

When Everything is "right" with these two strokes, they will "light" right off within the first couple of turns of the crank and all cylinders (regardless of how many) will be "there".

If anyone is in the Clarion, Iowa area.... stop in to the Heartland Museum, I believe it's still on loan and display there, in 2016.

.......and by the way, because I've read other comments & questions to this regard on other videos of this particular Big Bud.... the "747" is the ONLY ONE of it's size, ever built..... Northern Manufacturing (Ron Harmon) custom built this particular Big Bud, originally for the Rossi Brothers Cotton Farm, near Bakersfield, California in 1977.... before being sold to a similar operation in Indialantic, Fla..... where it sat for a number of years, not being used.... before the Williams' bought it and brought it back "home".... only about an hour away from where it was built.
