Please remember that the passenger doesn´t got the chance to grip a steering wheel( Wich would give him much more "body momentum suport") as a normal F1 Pilot, besides the safety belt could have been a little bit more tight as you can see it just goes up his shoulders.

the steering wheel is NEVER a part to hold on to.... just for steering.
I think they didn't strap him in so that they could show the effects of g force when youre actually driving the car. Still, if the person is not fit enough, that's very dangerous.
