BERLIN (AP) — Unfazed by a false start, Usain Bolt coasted into the final of 100 meters Sunday at the world championships and set up a big showdown with defending champion Tyson Gay. Gay also won his semifinal heat, despite yet another slow start, to secure the highly anticipated duel later in the day. Bolt false started, and then faced elimination if did it again. But he was no slower out of blocks, and had time to eye the stadium clock and his opponents four times as he slowed across the line in 9.89 seconds to win the heat. Gay kicked strongly at the end to finish in 9.93. Former world-record holder Asafa Powell was second in 9.95.
