Using Cheap 4k TV as PC Monitor

Can you use a cheap 4k TV as a 4k computer monitor? Yes! You can, but with limitations, if you want that quality 4k image. In this video, I show users how to use an inexpensive Hisense 4k television as a 4k computer monitor display. More that that, I show how to test your monitor to ensure that you will get good image quality based upon Y Cb Cr 4:4:4 to be sure you are not suffering losses in image quality to 4:2:2 or 4:2:0. Check it out.. Oh, and BTW, this video was taken in and will be best viewed in, wait for it....4k.

  1. I purchase cable at local electronics discount shop. I'm sure its compliant to latest HDMI standard. I've seen old IDE cables when it went from 40 conductor ribbon to 80 with the same with same 40 pin header, WTF? So I know that they can cert a cable for higher frequency. The cable I have must be 2.0 cuz the image is hella clear. I'll check and be sure next time I am at that store.
  2. are you getting 60hrtz cause i can not seem to get 60hrts at 3840 x 2160 but i hear there is a way
