I struggled with what he was saying. because we have needs when it comes to life and happiness. but then I looked at it from the point of view of accepting the worst case scenario in order to feel secure for working toward the best case scenario. If your mindset isn't scared of death or a life in which your relationship needs aren't met, then you can be mentally stable enough to work towards better relationships without undue anxiety of failure.
