Why Some 'Biggest Loser' Contestants Can't Help Gaining The Weight Back

Contestants on "The Biggest Loser" make dramatic transformations shedding hundreds of pounds. But some contestants have gained weight back after the show. Doctors followed 14 contestants who appeared on the show in 2009. Incredibly, the doctors determined that nearly all of them have struggled to keep off the weight. Contestant Danny Cahill inspired America by losing the most weight in the history of the show. He lost an incredible 240 pounds in seven months during the fall 2009 season.

  1. Lesson is... Don't weigh that much in the first place!!!
  2. I sometimes find it interesting how easily some people can get fat. I wonder what that's like. I could never get fat. My body just won't do it. My mom used to tell me I'd go diabetic because I eat too much sugar. I used to buy 4 packs of oh henry chocolate bars and eat 3 or 4 of the four packs a day, that's 12 - 16 chocolate bars that's over 4000 calories plus I was eating other things like 3 or 4 pringles chips cans a day and iceream and cake and pasta, and hotdogs and bacon, etc . I was getting 8000 - 10000 calories a day and sat around at the computer most of the day. I hardly exercised at all. Yet still I was weighing only 170 pounds at 6ft3. I was really skinny. Like the opposite of someone that gets fat really easily.
  3. The simple answer is starting when we're kids for the rest of our lives, eat balanced meals, go outside and exersize, and learn to love our bodies.
  4. I was 113kg I went down to 94kg then I went back to 114kg now I'm back down to 96kg I still have 15kg to lose but I'm struggling with my diet due to stress

  11. I really would love to seek a 2nd opinion. I don't want people to think that it's not there fault that there fat. You're still responsible for what you put in your body and how much exercise you choose to do. I'm not even overweight, but if I can't make it to the gym, I make sure I eat clean and walk for at least 30 minutes.
  12. You're naturally going to put on weight. 12lbs and even 40lbs isn't that bad. Any off season athlete puts on weight.
