1. Shot placement...(I'm trying not to laugh).  How many people here have ever raised their blood pressure and then attempted to place shots on target?!  I'm betting very few. 
   
   How many individuals have received training and then practice their training on a daily or weekly basis to build and keep muscle memory?  Again, I'm betting very few.
   
   Better yet, how many innocent bystanders are shot and/or killed by Police that are returning fire? Contrary to popular belief, not all Cops are well trained in firearm defense.
2. Number one reason the FBI is back to the 9mm: "M-O-N-E-Y" With a good shot, even a .25ACP will kill someone, or at least drop them. .357 Sig leaves a mean wound channel, but it is not cheap. Shooting to stop someone is based more on good shot placement than caliber.

Modern 45acp cartridges can send bullets down range at speeds of 1000 to 1150 FPS. And bodies are not made of ballistic gel. Somewhere along the way a bullet will probably hit some bone. Force equals mass times acceleration equals 230 grain bullets can pulverize bone. 9mm just bounces off. So with all your excuses and attempts to explain the FBI's politically correct decision you FAILED. Here's the rule of thumb one should follow. ...... "45 ACP...because shooting twice is silly"

12. This guy is spreading falls information and he didn't read the FBI report. 9mm was chosen because it is cheaper and more accurate than the 40, not because they are equal in power. 9mm is sufficient for a person, but not for big animals.

Hydrostatic shock is what puts people down instantly. All bullets have Hydrostatic shock, no matter how small. What do you think splits a milk jug when you hit it with a pistol round. I've killed 3 people with the old slow 230 gr 45, and every one went straight down like a sack of wet cement. It's obvious you've never been in a gunfight.
